HAPPY BIRTHDAY...

... little Birdie! My first born, helper girl and pony.

Last night as I went in to the room you share with LaLa to replace the ladder to the top bunk, I looked at you sweet sleeping self and your sister and wept. Maybe I was just overwrought from staying up till 3:00am the night before finishing the new addition on the house a.k.a. your birthday cake... but it seems to me that it is going too fast. You know your own phone number and how to write your name and you can count by 10's up to a hundred. There is never enough time, my little lovebug and it is breaking my heart into bigger pieces.

and the cake.... gadzooks the thing needs it's own zipcode.

Cake...awesome...Falls over.

Today is my kid's 7th bday. As per instructions I'm decorating the cake with flowers and sprinkles and cars.

yeah... all the looking at castle cake pix online really caught my imagination... it was a fun build, but there are at least 3 major thing that I'd do differently. Hey, maybe I should write a post about the construction work.

That cake is the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life. Sit back for a few weeks and rest on your laurels of being the cutest mom ever!

About the cake: my daughter isn't allowed to look at your blog because she will realize that her mommy is creatively challenged. Right now I have her fooled.

Seriously, you should save all pictures of that cake to show her when she is 13 years old and shouts that you don't love her, you never do anything for her, yadda yadda. Not that I ever said that to my mom when I was 13 or anything. And keep the pictures for the next time you do something boneheaded (or the first time, if you don't do them on a regular basis) and whip it out to show that nasty inner critic that says you are a crummy mummy. (Or am I the only one with the voices?)

You deserve a parenting award.

Holy cow! That is quite a cake! Nice work. I have to keep my little princess away from any pictures of that, all she got was a cake with a picture of a princess on it from Target for her "princess party". Hope she had a great birthday.

Forget the cake (although it IS great!) that's a pretty child you made! She's beautiful and brilliant!
I heard she was thankful for each and every gift. Wow--for a 4 year old. Wow.

I Wish my princes could have been there!
They would have loved that castle too.

Hey--and the beautiful-boned chair? Pictures?
