Time and Stuff

I have the same number of hours in a day that everyone else does. That's what they tell me, and yet I cannot seem to accomplish a crappin' thing except the basics, and Dadguy may question whether the basics are being met. You would question too, if I let you see the state of my house. But I won't, so keep your nosey little nosey-ness out.

And I know better than this. I served a mission for my church (LDS) back before I got married, and the Mission President was a big time-management guy. He was, in fact a time management pioneer, and a honcho lecturer guy for the Daytimer folks. He trained every one of his missionaries in the proper use of Daytimers, and I was a time management freak.

You would never know this to see me in action today.

Then again, perhaps the list of stuff that I want to accomplish is probably too long. Some stuff that I want to do.

  • Write a novel
  • write poetry again
  • write lyrics for hymns
  • write lyrics for songs
  • paint
  • learn to belt like Aretha
  • learn Karate
  • learn Kick Boxing
  • learn Gracie Jiu-jitsu
  • lose weight
  • lose enough weight to run a credible mile or so
  • learn french
  • quilt
  • travel to Europe and do a big old Art tour

hey, it's MY dream.

I think something happens when you become the word M-O-T-H-E-R. You can never get anything done! I am so glad that Pearl came out ok with tests...I am positive that she had many angels watching over her!

I'm a bit of time management freak, at least when it comes to reading. I subscribe to a lot of magazines, and I'm always busy. So I've learned to multi-task. I read magazine while I'm on the can.

I think all mothers need an extra 4 hours per day per child.

and those time management guru's? They never have to achieve all that while having young children ask for drink of water, tie their shoes, make a snack, draw a pony, help with spelling words, do laundry, clean the floors, wipe my butt, flush, braid my hair, help with the lego creations, read me a story, what's this word, how do you spell? etc...

I want to see everything that you write and paint. I want to play Karaoke Revolution with you and belt together.
May I also suggest Taekwon Do. I'm partial. I'd TOTALLY take Jiu-jitsu with you though. (Do you and Dadguy indulge in watching UFC or WEC by any chance??) (We do.)

Sweet deal! I remain under a pile of laundry that takes my watercolor passion away.

I know what you mean--and I figured out how to learn French. I got some cd's at the library for learning it, then I listened to them whenever I was in the car. My son picked up a few words, too!

I have a list of dreams not unlike yours in its ambition!

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart, and all that jazz.
