Big Dooin's...

... in the House Of Chaos. So big that I hardly am able to speak of them.

Dooin' Numero Uno- we have moved Pearls crib into the older girls' room. This has been playing merry hob with the sleeping patterns around here... namely MY OWN! But through sheer attrition, last night The Chaos was asleep by 8:45pm. Except, possibly for Birdie... but she just hangs out quietly in her bed in the dark singing quiet Bird songs and thinking her Bird thoughts.

Side dooin' to the first dooin'- Pearl now think that she is ALL THAT! She is a BIG GIRL and must now be treated as such. My mild as milk baby-doo was pushed out of the way by a bigger kid at Storytime in the Library today... she pushed right back and stood her ground. She insists on walking. She yells.

Dooin' Numero Two-o- Dadguy has cancelled his World of Warcrack account. Done. As of the night before last, he is a... a uhhh.... well whatever a person who doesn't play WoW is called. A non-WoW-er? Not sure what all this means, or what brand of side dooin' will come of it. But there it is. Done.

Not a dooin', but I died laughing this morning when Birdie was dancing about in the kitchen and stopped to say,

"I am your GOOD minion, huh mama!"

Yup, I got the BEST minions evah!

Your good minion? Your GOOD one? Waaahaaahaa!

I'm so stinkin jealous that your husband cancelled that @#!%* game! Derek says he should... Last night I got him to read to me, something that hasn't happened in a coon's age. He read the first chapter of The Hero and the Crown. I actually read on Dadguy's blog the other day that he was thinking of quitting. I read it out loud to Derek. Then I read him the final exam one, and laughed my head off. I'm not stalking your husband. Really, I'm not.

Everyone needs some good minions, as far as I'm concerned! Exciting news about Miss Pearl, too — good for her!

And Sarah K. — that is one of my most favorite books! If you've never read it, you're in for a great read!

That cracked me up.

And this: Birdie... but she just hangs out quietly in her bed in the dark singing quiet Bird songs and thinking her Bird thoughts.

I think Birdie is like my Emily.

That WoW stuff...I think it is like crack. Glad he's off the stuff. Here's to his continued sobriety. (Said while raising nothing stronger than water. lol)

I meant to say that I remember when Pearl was born. Is that right? Have I known you that long? Can she be that old already? Seems like she should still be a baby not a toddler.

A sings quite A songs in bed too with the occasional percussion played on the crib toy. It's kind of nice.

Peter's birthday is on Monday. I bought him/us a PS2. That may have been the stupidest thing I've ever done...

I'm glad your husband is off the wow. Peter and I both have highly obsessive and addictive personalities so I can understand how hard it would be for everyone.

Pearl is growing up. So cool. We are seriously going to have to plan some sort of get together some day.

I'd so much rather have a good minion than the other kind. Excellent. Wow on the WoW thing. I expect that will work out nicely for you all.

Bon, my dear, you always make me think and you do it with your words and style and humor. Which is why I awarded you with a Thinking Blogger Award. Come to my blog to check out the details.

Can I tell you how much I love the line about Birdie thinking her bird thoughts and singing her bird songs?

Just so peaceful and sweet, I love it.

Wow! That is great that he cancelled his WOWC account. There is a guy I knew at work who calculated that he spent 3 months worth of 24 hour day/nights playing it in a year. He was understandably single.

I just wish i could get mine to quit the PC games, he plays them to the wee hours every night and then wonders why he is so tired when our son gets us up at 6:30am.
